Reminder for Upcoming Licence Renewals 2022

The following licence categories are required to be renewed before 30 June 2022.

  • Meat Transport Vehicle
  • Abattoir
  • Further Meat Processing Facility
  • Poultry Processing Facility
  • Prime Tallow Processing Facility
  • Inedible Rendering Facility
  • Pet Meat Processing Facility
  • Pet Food Establishment

If you operate any of these PrimeSafe licensed businesses, you need to renew your licences prior to 30 June 2022.

You can renew your licences via our online PrimeSafe Licensee Portal.

The PrimeSafe Licensee Portal allows licensees to renew, apply, lodge amendments to and cancel their licence/s in one easy-to-use portal.

With the new online system, you can see all of your licences in one location, making record keeping easier. You can also see your requests and applications, as well as save draft applications.

You can access the PrimeSafe Licensee Portal from the PrimeSafe website or click on this link. The first time you use the PrimeSafe Licensee Portal, you will need to set up an account with your name and email. You can then request access to existing licences.

You can pay your licence fee/s with a credit card, BPAY or Paypal through the PrimeSafe Licensee Portal. Paper copies have been limited and sent out to those licensees who have yet to register for access to the portal. If you are using a paper copy, payment instructions can be found on the back of the renewal form.

MTVs

Meat Transport Vehicles (MTV) licensees are encourage to renew their licence by 27 May 2022 to allow time for PrimeSafe to mail out the new MTV labels that are required to be placed on the vehicles by 30 June 2022.

All MTVs or fleets must be inspected as part of their renewal. MTVs must meet the construction requirements of the Australian Standard for the Hygienic Production and Transportation of Meat and Meat Products for Human Consumption AS4696:2007 before presenting your vehicle for inspection.

If the vehicle(s) you are renewing the licence for has passed an inspection after 1 September 2021, another inspection is not required.

Please ensure that you bring your Food Safety Program booklet to the MTV inspection site for review by the inspector on the day of the inspection.
