Wholesaler

A seafood wholesaler is a business that sells seafood by wholesale with processing limited to the minimum necessary to preserve the seafood including storing, chilling and freezing and may also include up to 50 tonne of retail per year.

A seafood business that sells seafood by wholesale or retail, or wholesales only with processing limited to the activities below will need to apply for a seafood processor licence.

A seafood business that sells seafood by wholesale or retail, or wholesales only with processing activities including those below will need to apply for a seafood further processor licence.

Seafood further processor licence

Where a business engages in any processing activity across licence categories, the higher order of processing activity as defined below determines the licence category.
