A seafood processor is a business that sells seafood by wholesale and retail, or wholesales only with processing limited to the activities below.

- Chill or freeze
- Store
A seafood business that only sells seafood by wholesale or retail with processing limited to the minimum necessary to preserve seafood including storing, chilling and freezing will need to apply for a seafood wholesaler licence.
A seafood business that sells seafood by wholesale or retail, or wholesales only with processing activities including those below will need to apply for a seafood further processor licence.

Apply now
There are three ways to apply for a PrimeSafe licence:
- Fill out the application form in the PrimeSafe Licensee Portal by following the instructions in the How to use the Licensee Portal link below; or
- Download the application form, print, scan and email it to info@primesafe.vic.gov.au; or
- Fill in the form at the PrimeSafe office.
