Food Safety Unit
Food Safety Unit is a section of the Rural and Regional Health and Aged Care Division within the Department of Human Services. The unit is responsible for food regulation in Victoria through administration of the
Food Act 1984 and is involved in food recalls, investigation of alleged incidents of food borne illness and for responding to public health emergencies.
